Three Barred Parakeets in a Majaguillo tree

On an early morning Christmas bird survey, three Barred Parakeets dropped into a tree to feed while doing a point count. Surprisingly, this species has never been recorded on the reserve, despite records going back 15 years and the 'Birds of Costa Rica' book stating that it is a common species in the area.
